Joanna Wang é Taiwanesa cantora e compositora, filha de um famoso produtor musical Ji-ping "Bing" Wang (王治平). Nasceu em Taipei mas foi criada em Los Angeles. O seu primeiro album "Start From Here" foi lançado em Janeiro de 2008, era um duplo, continha um cd em em Inglês e outro em Chinês.

O seu album atingiu #1 em Taiwan e é popular em todo o Sudoeste Asiático. Em Junho de 2008 foi lançado no Japão.
